In Codemaster's game: everything has an e-brake and you can allways fall back on and use it.Īnd you forgot about WRC9 (which is the current version). Partly because: the crude, prototype-stage AWD drivetrains were not designed to uncouple the rear wheels from the drive (needed to not stall the car when locking the rear wheels). The DLC maps are a bit better then the non DLC Maps in DR2. The track is much wider so it is easier in DR2 than in WRC where the streets are really narrow.
But the Stages are Booring Compared to WRC. Also: originally group-B AWD cars had no e-brake, they had a parking-brake that would remain unused during stage-runs unless the driver got out of a stranded vehicle. After WRC (8,9,10) i go back to DR2.0 and relax and enjoy the predictability and clarity of the car's behavior. DR1 was a nice first foray back into the more serious side of driving for Codemasters - but the actual engine-phyiscs were hacked together and still lacking greatly.ĭR2.0 is still lacking: on tarmac, mostly.
